Letting Go

Just allowing the deep rooted pain to come to the surface and acknowledging that it exists,without trying to run from it, can be enough to begin to move through it and let it go.

Domino Effect

When we don't heal and forgive the original cause of the pain, it creates a domino effect in our lives causing us to create circumstances that reflect the original pain back to us. However this in turn provides us with the opportunity to acknowledge and bring that pain into the light of conscious awareness thus freeing ourselves from the self created suffering. We then begin to see clearly that it was never about the other person...they were merely the mirror showing us those parts of ourselves,often deeply buried or denied, that required compassion and forgiveness. The perpetrator then becomes the teacher providing us with the opportunity to fully forgive and let go...Aah Freedom!!

Respect

The greatest thing we can bring to any relationship is respect. When both parties fully respect one another, they can accept and allow the other person to be who they are without any need or expectation while still allowing the other to express their point of view even when it differs from their own...it really would be a very boring world if we all agreed on everything and wouldn't give us much opportunity for growth or expansion :)

Responding from Love

Love really is insurmountable. When we can come from a place of genuine love and compassion, no matter what the outer circumstance may be or what the other person is projecting, our internal responses begin to change and we create a space to diffuse the drama as opposed to feeding it with a negative reaction :)

God/Spirit

I've come to realize that I've never felt closer to God than when listening to uplifting music on a Sunday morning or going for a walk and looking up and around...at the sky, the trees, the birds,the world. All those Sunday mornings sitting inside a cement structure listening to someone preaching about right and wrong never connected me in the same way. We don't need to be told about God/Spirit, we merely need to experience it :)

Ego

Our ego is an intrinsic part of who we are in this physical experience. But when we truly master the art of observing it and how it operates in our lives, we can accept it without giving it the power to control our life experience.  Eventually it will relinquish the reins of control and comply to the higher power of our real identity...  only then do we begin to live a life of authenticity endowed with love and compassion and our ego becomes the wonderful tool it's supposed to.

Destination

It's not about the destination...it's about knowing that you're heading in the right direction. And when you're not, being willing to fully look at the self delusions that are turning you around. Firstly by acknowledging them and then forgiving them, by realizing they were born out of ignorance by a child who couldn't comprehend the ignorance of those adults who were merely doing their best under the circumstances and from where their own sense of awareness was at the time. Those delusions soon lose their power when brought into the light of awareness and after that the only direction is up :)

Giving

Anonymously... when the other can't give back. This is undoubtedly the most rewarding form of giving, and ironically you really do get way more than you give by the feeling that fills you from within :))

Purpose...Love

We spend so much time in this physical experience looking for a great purpose. Just maybe our only purpose is to remember how to love without any personal agenda or expectations attached. We spend much of our lives searching and often blaming and lamenting over what others have done to us or haven't done for us... just maybe if we spent that same energy we use projecting onto others what we're denying in ourselves, we might touch on something that no-one or nothing has the power to unsettle. Only Love can find the door and turn the key,and when discovered no purpose is needed because we're living it in the only moment that exists...right here and Now and not at some future point that we may never reach :)

Automatic reaction or Conscious choice?

The more we fully awake on this journey, quite often the more challenges arise along the way. It's just Spirit offering us the gift of opportunity to realize our progress (otherwise how would we know we're growing) and see how fully present we can remain in the face of adversity. Our resolve can grow in leaps and bounds when we make a conscious choice to stay fully present and not  partake in the drama of the ego. this is often the hardest when it involves loved ones and we hear things like I don't know you anymore. When old dramas can no longer elicit the same internal response, then you know you're making progress and the beautiful thing is that you're also helping those who are trying to trigger an old automatic response mechanism. Love Always Wins :)

Extraordinary or Ordinary?

The Extraordinary happens when we become aware of the Ordinary Miracles that are present in every moment we take the time to look :)

Two little words

Two little words that when said, with heartfelt meaning, have the power to transform worlds. We spend so much time in our life looking for gratification from people and things and seldom take the time to notice throughout each day how much we have to be grateful for. When we take the time to offer these two simple words as much as possible throughout our day we begin to see the multitude of things we have to be grateful for and the power contained within these two little words to transform those we come in contact with. We give an immeasurable gift to others and the gratification we're looking for no longer exists because we become endowed with a greater sense of fulfillment just in that simple act of offering genuine gratitude to another :)

Greatest Question

The greatest question to ask oneself..."If it doesn't feel good afterward, why do it in the first place?"

When applied to anything you do or say, this question will create enough awareness,within you, at that moment to make a different choice :)

Mothers

Seems appropriate to touch on, in my opinion, the most important role on the planet. Being fortunate enough to be able to call myself  Mom to four beautiful human beings has undoubtedly been the greatest gift I've ever been given. They've taught me more than they will ever know and touched my heart in ways I could never have imagined...sometimes through sweat and tears and other times through joy and love.

Although the past few years, for me, have been about letting go of all the labels and roles I've undertaken throughout my life...the one I can never relinquish is that of being Mom. If that means holding on to attachment...So Be It!

So don't forget today to let that very special person know how much she is loved and appreciated ( even if she's no longer on this physical plane, she can still hear you because she's right within your heart).

Selfless or Selfish?

Selfless and Selfish... they're really two sides of the same coin. Since consciously beginning this journey of awakening a few years back my intention became to live my life as selflessly as possible. Lately I've come to realize that I can only be truly selfless by sometimes being selfish and not giving in to the egoic needs of others. Only when I become selfish at times and focus on my own self nurturing can I truly feel whole and operate from a place of love and total selflessness.This in turn becomes empowered giving, without any feeling of self sacrifice, that is infused with pure joy...no greater feeling. So yes I am both selfish and selfless :)

Perception

This world only exists because of my perception. Undoubtedly we all agree on certain things in this universe that we label good and bad... as a collective consciousness we do perceive certain happenings and events.
 But ultimately we each live in our own self created universe that is determined by what we choose to perceive. When we begin to undertake to consciously choose those perceptions from a place of love, the world we experience will begin to change accordingly and we start to realize that each of us does indeed have the power to experience Heaven on Earth...if we so choose.And no-one has the power to rock our boat unless we choose to give them that power.
