Automatic reaction or Conscious choice?

The more we fully awake on this journey, quite often the more challenges arise along the way. It's just Spirit offering us the gift of opportunity to realize our progress (otherwise how would we know we're growing) and see how fully present we can remain in the face of adversity. Our resolve can grow in leaps and bounds when we make a conscious choice to stay fully present and not  partake in the drama of the ego. this is often the hardest when it involves loved ones and we hear things like I don't know you anymore. When old dramas can no longer elicit the same internal response, then you know you're making progress and the beautiful thing is that you're also helping those who are trying to trigger an old automatic response mechanism.
