The mind craves security but freedom lies in the Uncertainty and acceptance of the impermanence of all that isn't real. The evolutionary impulse that drives the Universe will have it's way expressing itself through each individual as each individual. We get to choose whether we allow it to do so with or without our conscious awareness. To do so without causes resistance and suffering, but when we reach a point where the choices are conscious we realize that we have to embrace the uncertainty that comes with those choices and adopt a willingness to participate in the unfolding with no expectation of what the future will bring.
